Tell us a little about yourself.

I come from Spain. I work as a fashion designer and stylist. I consider myself an aesthete, disciplined, temperamental, stubborn (I am Capricorn), sensitive, and passionate in everything I do. I always wake up in a good mood. I love nice people and nice things. My weaknesses are my daughter Noa, who also is my little muse, and food. I enjoy the simple things in life, I don't need much to be happy, just as long as I have the love of my people, and that they are fine. Lomography makes me happy!

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

My first camera was the Fisheye 2. And I wanted to try a different format, something more "square", so I decided on the Diana, and I think it is the best investment I have ever made! The Diana F+ is the one to blame for my addiction to creative photography.

Describe the Diana F+ in 5 words.

    Stylish, Nostalgic, Mysterious, Whimsical, Surprising

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

The imperfection, vignetting, the vintage results... and also, it's so pretty!!

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

    No doubt, Vincent Gallo.

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

No. 1 If you want to take portraits, be careful with the framing. Be sure to leave some "air"" above the subject's head, if you don´t want to become "the Headless Rider".
No. 2You must open the Diaphragm one more step if you use ISO 100 speed film. For example, choose partial clouds, on a sunny day.
No. 3 Don't get to close to the subject or object, of your photos will be out of focus. There is a special lens for this.
    No. 4 Read the instructions.
No. 5 Don't give up. If you follow these simple steps, the results will be amazing!

When I was a little girl my mother took me to tennis classes. The second day the coach told her she should take me to dance classes, because that was what I did best with the racket. And so she did. I still love to dance!

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

I went to a Lomography store in Madrid to buy my boyfriend's birthday present. I didn't know much about analogue photography, actually I didn't know much about photography. I was undecided, didn't know whether to buy the Diana or the Holga. The nice guy there, Tatto, told me that the Diana had interchangeable lenses, pinhole mode and more accessories than the Holga, so I decided to buy the Diana, although I hadn't understood anything of what he was saying. My boyfriend started to carry his new camera in all trips we did and sometimes I grabbed it to shot some photos. That's how I discovered it and started to fall in love with Diana. A few months later I caught my brother at the lomo-store buying a Diana Deluxe kit. I asked what was he doing there, to whom he was buying that treasure. That amazing box perfectly wrapped was for me!!! That day I had my own Diana, and he created a frankenstein.

Describe the Diana F+ in 5 words.

Diana F+ is magical. Diana F+ is beautiful. Diana F+ is elegant. Diana F+ is subtle. Diana F+ is delicate.

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

Mmmm... there are many features I like of the Diana, but what I like most, or at least what I use most are the interchangeable lenses. I love all the possibilities that the different lenses give to me to compose my images.

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

Right now the face of the person who is reading this answer.

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

Give yourself and your Diana time to get to know each other.

Tell us a little about yourself.

I live in St. Louis, Missouri with my husband and two Cairn Terriers. Art’s always been a driving force for me, and I studied it in college. I was an oil painter and graphic designer, but everything changed in 2010 when I discovered analogue photography. The Diana was my first film camera, and she completely rejuvenated my creative passion. I now show my photos at local art galleries almost every month.

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

I was shopping in an Urban Outfitters store for my husband’s birthday, and I discovered a display full of interesting toy cameras. I got really excited about the Diana+ Dreamer - I adored her mint color and retro design…even her name had me transfixed. I decided to take her home for myself. We were going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans a week later, so I waited until then to use her for the first time. I threw her around my neck along with a pile of beads, and we headed out into the streets. Lots of people stared and pointed at my camera; I got asked lots of questions about her, too. I shot away during the whole trip, sometimes forgetting to change the focus or adjust for lighting…even accidentally leaving the cap on a couple times! But I ended up falling in love with the dreamy and beautifully imperfect photos my Diana produced.

Describe the Diana F+ in 5 words.

    Beautiful, Transformative, Imperfect, Dreamlike, Companion

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

How her plastic lens can turn something ordinary into a work of art.

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

I'm fascinated by the ocean, and I'd love to be able take my Diana underwater.

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

Take your Diana everywhere and don’t give up on her!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I am a schizophrenic photographer. I like crazy experiments and "dirty" output on the pictures. For this, the Diana F+ is perfect, it allows many ways of taking pictures...

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

I was shooting with the old super heavy Zenith of my dad and I just saw the Diana Hong Meow in a Lomography shop. I loved the size straight away, its light weight, the many possibilities you have to change lenses, it just seemed perfect! Of course it took me a while to choose between the "clones" but Hong Meow was my choice and I'll never regret it!

Describe the Diana F+ in 5 words.

    Light, Polyvalent, Creative, Minimalistic, Schizophrenic

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

I like the fact it is so light and so easy to use. I carry it in my bag everywhere I go, with the fisheye, telephoto lens and the 55mm wide angle and I switch from one to another depending on situation...

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

I love to shoot older people, I think they have very expressive faces and I would love to make a series of portraits in a retirement house.Talking about somebody famous, I'd love to shoot Elle Fanning, in a forest, with the telephoto lens.

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

I would advise newcomers not to go straight away for the 35mm back or instant back but to use the Diana F+ in its original version and shoot as much as they can to learn how to frame and control the light/exposure. And bring it everywhere!!!! You never know, you might miss a really good shot!

I was born and raised in Leningrad (Russia), which, as you probably know, is now called St. Petersburg. I like to shoot and travel. I love music and chocolate.

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

My first experience with a medium format camera was with Holga, but after the appearance of Diana, I bought the new camera with a better design and softer images immediately.

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

It's a really unpredictable camera. You can't see your results before you develop, and after development, you get incredible results which you couldn't imagine. This is a magical Camera.

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

    Great Mount Fuji

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

Don't forget to look at the switches for aperture and shutter speed before shooting.

  • Satomi

Tell us a little about yourself.

I am an avid Lomographer, a mother to 3 cats and a lunatic film collector from Osaka, Japan. I now live in Los Angeles.

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

I got my first Diana+ (before Diana F+ was out) on the day it was launched on Lomography website. As soon as I saw the sample shots from it and finding out how affordable it was, there was no reason not to get it right then.

Describe the Diana F+ in 5 words.

    Classy, fun, dreamy, but temperamental

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

My favorite feature is the B mode. Shutter lock makes it possible to do the long exposure without shaking the camera and I can easily capture the ambient lights at night or dreamy image with the Pinhole mode.

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

If that includes things from the past, I would love to take pictures of the people and the city during the Edo period (1603-1867) in Japan. Diana would be the perfect camera to capture the life of the citizen, the energy of the city, the castle, and samurais in the war on black and white!

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

Make mistakes and grow with her. It's all about having fun!

I'm a graphic designer from Singapore. I got my first 4-lens Actionsampler in 2008. And after countless films later, I'm still stuck in the past with my plastic cameras!

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

I read about the Diana World Tour online some years back and was amazed by the different versions of this plastic camera. The "Hong Meow" special edition was my first Diana camera in early 2009 and since then she has travelled with me to beautiful places like Bali and Moscow! I have to confess that it was her "retro-panda-licious" plastic appearance that made me fall head over heels!

Describe the Diana F+ in 5 words.

Miss Dee in Da House! (In a fake hip hop accent)

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

That is a tough one. The Diana F+ (aka Miss Dee) is the most versatile camera in Lomo-land. She can be armed with a bunch of different crazy lenses or totally transformed from 120 format to 35mm or Instant. Even when she is not armed, her super wide-angle pinhole ability is often understated.

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

I would love to shoot the Icelandic singer, Björk, one day!

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

Always do the boring part which is reading the often neglected instructions. Get the facts first and you will enjoy the endless fun later. Next, get the 35mm back if possible because it gives you 36 frames to shoot for your first test roll. This is important because it lets you familiarize with Diana’s distance range, exposure and shutter speed. Once you are comfortable, you may advance to the medium format and the different types of films and techniques.

  • Jeansman

Tell us a little about yourself.

I've been a Lomographer since 2003. I realize my ideas through Lomography cameras.

How did you first discover the Diana F+?

In 2003, I checked out some information about Lomography cameras on the internet. I saw that they produce funny plastic cameras and that was my first discovery of this cutie. Diana F+ photos are really impressive!

Describe the Diana F+ in 5 words.

What's your favorite feature of the Diana F+ and why?

So far, I love the pinhole mode because I can take photos even whilst I'm sleeping!

If you could shoot any subject with the Diana F+, who or what would it be?

Portraits, especially of my friends and family - They are the most important people in my life.

Do you have any advice for Diana newcomers?

The Diana F+ has many features. Just try it and experiment! It rewards you with a truly valuable experience.
