- Self-adjustable Shutter speed: This camera is a smart one. You don't have to fret about how much light there is. The Instax Mini 50 reacts to the available light and automatically adjusts the shutter speed to ensure your precious pics are neither too light nor too dark. 1/3 - 1/400 shutter speeds. There are 2 shutter release buttons whose only purpose is to make your life easier and to stop you twisting your hands in all sorts of difficult positions. You can shoot the camera horizontally and vertically without wrist-ache!
- Self- Timer for continuous shots: Sometimes 1 shot is not enough. All multi-lens-lovers will agree. The self-timer button on the camera means that you can set it up to take 2 continuous shots without missing out on the action yourself. The 10 second delay gives you enough time to leap into the frame, should you wish!
- Lens: Move in/out type Fujinon Lens, 2 components, 2 elements, f=60mm, 1:12.7
- Fixed Focus - 2 ranges to choose from: Hooray! More chances for you to be spontaneous and less time worrying about blurry results. There are 2 modes you can select depending on the distance you are away from your subject. Focus range is 0.6m -3m & 3m- infinity.
- Built-in 'intelligent' flash - 2 modes: The built-in flash decides when you need to shed a bit more light on the matter! The auto flash mode is 'intelligent' because it ensures the light stays balanced even where the background is brighter. The impressive thing is that the fill-in flash mode manages to keep background detail clear when it would usually be lost due to the light/dark contrast in the scene.
- Close-Up Lens: Get as close as 30cm to the object you want to capture.
- Lens: World renowned 2 component, double element Fujinon lens. f=60mm 1:12.7
- Speed of Development: Instant image formation. Expect a fully developed photo in about 3 minutes
- Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): This rather slick looking display screen tells you how many shots you have left, and whether any of the following are switched on: self-timer, light/dark control, fill-in flash or landscape mode.
- Exposure tools: Automatic exposure control and light/dark compensation.
- Picture size: 62 x 46mm - as compact as a credit card!
- Film: uses Instax Mini Colour film and has an automatic film feed function.
- Batteries: Two CR2/DL lithium batteries will last for up to 30 film packs!
- ...And there is more: Weight and Size- a mere featherweight at 275g and 112.0 x 96.5 x 49.5 mm. There is a jolly useful film pack window so there can be no confusion as to whether there is film inside. A tripod socket, which is great to use with the self-timer for continuous shots.
