What is Lomography?

What started out as a spontaneous artistic approach to photography in the Vienna underground scene developed into an international socio-cultural movement; one that uses photography as a creative approach for capturing the world and a platform for communication. Today, we are a globally active organization dedicated to experimental and creative snapshot photography. Boasting millions of active members across the world, the idea of Lomography encompasses an interactive, democratic, social, cultural, vivid, blurred and crazy way of life.

This development is supported and furthered by the creation of special tools that were either discovered or specifically designed and manufactured. We’re mostly talking about affordable snapshot cameras like the LOMO LC-A+, the LC-Wide, the Diana F+, the Fisheye, the four-lensed Supersampler and Actionsampler, the Sprocket Rocket, La Sardina and the Spinner 360°.

But there’s also a whole assortment of accessories including flashes, tripods, films, bags and notebooks – anything that can help Lomographers on their way to discovering the world through Lomography.
