The Zorki Family of Cameras - Cameras
The Cameras
These old Soviet cameras are bit like the legendary sagas. A single model was never enough; the manufacturer had to keep striving for perfection. Consequently, one model could undergo several refinements during its production period. As a result, every Zorki model is unique in design, spec, quirks and charms. Making the world of Zorki a collector’s playground.
The pioneering Zorki 1 marked the first steps of independence from the Fed. However, similarities to the Leica are striking. The earliest models still use Z which stands for ‘open’ in German, whereas the later ones show the standard "B" for bulb. The camera has one shutter speed dial atop the camera and shutter speeds of Z 1/20, 1/30, 1/40, 1/50, 1/100, 1/200 and 1/500.
