What Exactly Is a Pixelstick?

The Pixelstick is a fantastic upgrade from the glow sticks and flash lights that you’re used to. Simply put, the Pixelstick is a 1.8 meter long ‘stick’ packed to the brim with 200 full color, high fidelity LEDs inside a lightweight aluminum housing, perfect for taking with you wherever and whenever light painting ideas strike you.

How Does the Pixelstick Work?

While the Pixelstick is astoundingly intelligent and capable of amazing creations, it is also very easy to operate. Simply insert an SD card with images you’ve created or downloaded, set your camera (such as the Lomo’Instant, Diana F+ and LC-A 120) to take a long exposure, select the image you want the Pixelstick to display, and press Fire! It can also increment through a series of images over multiple exposures, opening up light painting to the world of time-lapse, and allowing for animations of a scope and quality never before seen. Taking long-exposures has never been this creative and fun!
