# 1 Melaten Cemetary

# 1 Melaten Cemetary

“This is a huge public cemetery in Cologne. Usually cemeteries are places where you don't take a stroll. It's a place to find peace and to come to rest (in both senses of the word). What is so special about this cemetery are its magnificent and elaborate gravestones decorated with larger than life angels and other figures - the Death for example. Around every corner you can discover new figures, some look peaceful, others strange or vicious. It creates a very special atmosphere and you are allowed to take pictures there – at least I haven’t found a sign that told me not to.” Read more in the magazine

# 2 Your local Laundromat

# 2 Your local Laundromat

“I bet most of you are cleaning your clothes at home! It´s so comfortable, just load up the machine and move back to the TV set But honestly, you miss something....pay a visit to your local Laundromat could be the beginning of a real "clean" friendship. Not only your clothes will become clean and dry, you can sit down and read a good book instead of watching boring stuff on TV for hours and hours. But if you are already going to pay a visit, make sure to bring your favorite camera…Most of the “Laundro – Mates” I visited are stocked somewhere between the 70s and 80s when it comes to interior which is a perfect match if you are into Retro or Analogue Camera – Shooting….Have fun watching the Gallery and try x-pro – somehow it seems to match and quite often you receive a clean shot.” Read more in the magazine

# 3 Chocolate Museum

# 3 Chocolate Museum

"Enjoy an expedition through 3,000 years of chocolate history, either in reality by coming to the Chocolate Museum in the heart of Cologne" - this is what you get, when you walk in the riverside in Koln and stop just in front of the ship-like place, called the Chocolate museum. Get ready, you happy sweetie-lovers – this is a place, where you should rent a flat (joking, of course). It is a museum, which has three main interest points. First of all, you will go to the places, full of some reading materials (on the walls, in the windows and so on) – this is where you get the idea, from where does the chocolate come from (from Cocoa, to be precise). Yes, you can find Milka cows there, and yes – there is a little cinema, showing chocolate content all the time.” Read more in the magazine

Along the lines of 'our love will be forever', couples are attaching their locks to the Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne, Germany. I have been living and working in Cologne the past three months. During that time I walked around to discover the city, but the place I fell in love with first became my favorite spot of all. #6 Cologne Cathedral

#6 Cologne Cathedral

Cologne without the Kölner Dom? That's unthinkable. The official name is "Hohe Domkirche St. Peter and Maria" but who cares, it's the Kölner Dom. The Dom is 157,38m, the third highest church on earth. The cathedral is only 250 meters away from the Rhein. The architectural style is Gothic. From 1880 to 1884 the Kölner Dom was the highest building in the world and it's the most popular sight in Germany. Since 1996 the cathedral is a world cultural heritage. Read more in the magazine
